This rare 1952 Jowett Jupiter, a British sports car, has a flat four overhead valve engine of 1486cc that pumps out 60 bhp with a top speed of 85 mph.In Raymond Chandler’s The Long Goodbye, Terry Lennox drives a Jowett Jupiter (described as “a rust-colored Jupiter-Jowett with a flimsy canvas rain top under which there was only just room for the two of us”). Import specialties is getting this special little car road-worthy again, including an engine overhaul and much more.
This beautiful 1979 Rolls Royce Corniche came in to Import Specialties with a starting problem. We were able to correct the starting problem. We also serviced the engine and transmission, replaced the engine air filter, fuel filter, oil filter and transmission filter. We also adjusted the emergency brake and serviced the A/C system. We found the carburetors were not synchronized. We rebuilt both carburetors and made adjustments as needed. We corrected the problem with the cabin heat by replacing the heater valve. Lastly we diagnosed a problem with the driver seat, we repaired the seat wiring.
